First of all, thank you for your generosity and your willingness to support our ministry to South Sudan. We are honored by the trust your gift demonstrates, and we are grateful for your commitment to God’s Word and its application to the lives of people in South Sudan.

February 24th, 2013 update: We are now starting our primary fundraising phase to raise the necessary material and finances to move to South Sudan and solidly establish C.R.O.S.S. Ministries. Please see this website and/or facebook shortly, 2013 for our projected budget. Please help us get to South Sudan quickly! Our goal is by the start of next dry season… that’s November of this year! Optimistic, but doable with God’s blessing and your support!

Your gift can help in many ways, and will go towards two main categories: one-time costs (and later special project costs) and monthly support. Initially all donations including pledged ongoing monthly support will go to the essential one-time costs associated with establishing C.R.O.S.S. staff (the Wood family) in South Sudan. Our goal is to support the Wood family (and possibly others in the future) in their ongoing effort to share the Word of God with the people of South Sudan, and once the Woods are established to minimize or eliminate any “administrative costs” (training, moving/shipping expenses, equipping, language training, transportation, etc) that will be necessary in the initial phase. That way all of your money will go to directly helping support the Wood family in helping the people of South Sudan.

Our Board of Accountability will annually provide a listing by category of yearly expenses, available upon request after the end of each year.

What about after your donation?

You will be sent a receipt and thank you note from us for your donation(s) so that you may use this in applying for tax deductions on your gifts.

 

Other Ways You Can Help:

Individual or Corporate Sponsorship: Donate Bibles (English, Dinka or Arabic preferred), Biblical study books, cash, frequent flier miles, postage stamps, Bitcoins, solar panels/chargers related equipment (rechargeable batteries), web gear, field dressings, suture kits, Steri-strips, tools, Tourniquets (CATs or SOF-T), water purification (large or small capacity) equipment… ANYTHING that would help a missionary in a very Third World country, et cetera. It will all be used to help the people of South Sudan.

Note: C.R.O.S.S. is registered as a non-profit corporation in Idaho.  C.R.O.S.S. is filing for its 501(c)3 tax exempt status. Your contributions and gifts are fully tax-deductible.

Volunteer Positions:

Available Part-Time Volunteer Positions:

   Note: Other than reimbursement of some limited expenses, these are all un-paid positions.   You’ll only be in it for God’s Glory.

Accountant:  Anywhere in the United States. (1 volunteer certified in Idaho)

Responsibilities:  Maintain financial records, prepare and e-mail annual tax deduction certifications to donors.

Document Expert: Anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities: Handle obtaining export licenses, End Use certificates, and carnets. Familiar with ITAR / DDTC a huge plus. A retiree with experience in the import/export business would be ideal.

Seamstresses:  Anywhere in the United States.  (3 to 5 volunteers)

Responsibilities: Attaching patches, modifying web gear, and making utility pouches. Prior experience with industrial sewing machines a plus.

 

 

Down the road as God grows the organization:

Logisticians:  Location, TBD. (3 to 5 volunteers)

Responsibilities:  Sort, clean, and package gear and various equipment and supplies for shipment to South Sudan.

Travel Coordinator: Anywhere in the United States

Responsibilities:  Make flight arrangements, handle passport and visa applications. Aggregate and distribute frequent flier miles.
